Compared with tact switch, push button switch usually has big size, long travel and operation force, they are applied to different applications, a push button switch is available with momentary and latching actions, the momentary push button switch is when you press is down, it is ON then release it, it back to original position; latching push-button switch is pressing it and release it, the actuator won’t be back to original location, you need to push it again, it will be back to the position.
The push button switch is available with round or square shape, there is various mounting ways:PCB mount and panel mount as well as illuminated LED models.
