Ideal applications include telecommunications, instrumentation, and medical equipment.
A Single Pole Single Throw (SPDT) switch uses a single input connecting to two output terminals to operate as either an on-off switch or to connect circuits to two varying paths.SPDT Toggle switches can connect circuits to any two paths of which the circuit might function. For example, an SPDT switch may be used for two different functions i.e. a printer from standby to ready.
