The SMD Type illuminated tact switch soldering attentions

1. When you use the reflow soldering, Advising the pre-heat temperature is under 100 centi-degree, the tip of the terminals shall be dipped 2mm in the solder bath at a temperature of 245 ±5℃ for 3±0.5 sec,A new uniform coating of solder shall cover a minimum of 75% of the surface being immersed. If it is over the soldering time, the terminal will be melt through or damaged,so the operator needs to pay attention to the soldering time and soldering temperature.

2. When you solder the SMD illuminated tact switch, please attention to protect from the foam solder contacting the switch mounting PCB, if the PCB has some foam solder, it’s easy to into the switch inside and cause the bad conduction issues.

3. Watching out to clear the environment to avoid the foreign matter into switch body.

4. Pasting a membrane on the top of button to prevent the foreign matters ,because of the SMD illuminated tactile switch is not the sealed.

5. The process of multiple soldering the SMT tactile switch, you should pause for three minutes, in the first and second operation , so that the switch solder joint after enough heat dissipation, back to the room temperature to set about the second welding, or the constantly high temperature operating soldering will make the terminal deformation or damage.
