Micro switch contact interval
Nov 01, 2022
The contact interval of micro switch is defined as 0.25mm, 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 1.8mm. Contact spacing is the goal at design time. If the minimum contact interval is required, please confirm and select. The standard of the general contact interval is 0.5mm. For the same switching mechanism, the smaller the contact interval, the smaller the MD, the higher the sensitivity, and the longer the mechanical life (life), but the DC circuit breaking performance and the resistance to vibration and impact are not good. As the current switch will lose contacts, the sensitivity will decrease when the MD increases with the increase of the contact interval. Therefore, in order to achieve high sensitivity, when the micro switch with the contact interval of 0.25mm is used, the switching current must be kept small to reduce the contact loss caused by the current switch. The product with large contact interval has good vibration resistance, impact resistance and circuit opening performance
