Basic LED Tactile Switch Structure

Led tact switch is consist of tactile switch and a LED, the tactile switch features dome metal contact , base, top actuator and terminal, the metal dome impacts the actuation force and tactile feedback to end-user, the LED indicator can be insert into the side of tactile switch, then it is illuminated tact switch, it is momentary action and SPST configuration, the illuminated tactile button can be directly mounted onto the PCB board, so the led-illuminated tactile push button is easy for operating.

The contact dome of momentary illuminated tact button with an arched shape suits for the bottom and deflects under the operation force, the action produces the crisp and audible tactile response, the metal dome of led tactile push switch contacts two fixed contacts in the bottom when bended and connect the circuit. When the actuation force is released from the top button of led tact switch, the dome returns to its original position and state thus the circuit is closed, so the metal dome material impacts the illuminated tactile switch’s quality.
