TS8 series illuminated tact switch is a small momentary LED tactile switches push button, 6*6mm with 6 legs (the 4 terminals for 6mm tact switch, and the other two pins is cathode and anode of the led).

we do not recommend customers uses the SMD type illuminated tact switch, because of the material, when you soldering it , the illuminated momentary tact switch can not withstand the high temperature, our company found many raw material to try it, finally, we found a type of heat-resistant material can bear the 260 centi-degree soldering and won’t impact the led tactile button’s function.

Soldering Tips

Reflow soldering temperature needs to be controlled within 245℃, or the high temperature will damage the led pin and lead to no function when the you push the button.

And you need to welding it by manual operation, now we are looking for the new material to substitute it, it’ll be finished in 2022
